How to Memorize Poetry

The romantics have given us so many poems that are really easy to memorize. Ted Hughes spoke about this where you pick out let's say the inevitable words from each line. There is an element of trust you get the word and the image and one by one they fall into place if you have all the words in images they become lines and when you recite it falls out of you essentially if you get it right it just happens.
