The Life of Sarah Avery Callaway
At the age of 17 Sarah Avery rechristened herself Annabelle Callaway. A name chosen in memory of her own school teacher Annie Messer and her best friend Daniel Callaway. Now West Virginia had been good to her but she missed the company of the women who'd been there for her when no one else was. She moved to Baker's Gap to answer an advertisement to teach at the local school. Until now she had managed with a few notable exceptions to avoid any of the dark and shadowy business that seemed to seek out those barren walker blood. Up until this point she'd mostly got her wish but now the road was calling again and Bill Callaway had to answer her.
