What Do Your Shoes Tell You About You?
Shoes can tell us a lot about the people wearing them, how they spend their time and the world they live in. Before the war, shoes were fairly snazy with lots of embellishments like s and beating. After the war, most of the leather was needed for the war, so people switched to making canvas shoes. Women began taking on traditionally male jobs like working in factories, which meant a shift toward more comfortable working shoes for women.
