Cora: I think throughout Junger's texts and some of the passages that we've read from on the marble cliffs, there's a deeply sincere relationship to codes of chivalry. He doesn't have distance from this and I think that that prevents him from actually achieving a capacity for irony. The idea that those views that you may privately hold very dear can be contingent and may not actually belong in the public language of justice.
