The Military Hunter in Niger
There was a military coup there, which is following a pattern that's happened across that region. It follows years of instability, increasing terror attacks, but also much more fundamental problems to do with dire poverty and extreme hunger. There were no evidence of the Nigerian army swarming over the border. But you've got this sort of rising escalation of tensions between the countries that are still democratic in that region and those that have switched over into kind of military dictatorship. And we just need to keep an eye on it as the week unfolds.
