The History of the Indo-Greek Kingdom

Greek was used as a diplomatic language under the Indo-Saka, and possibly later. A large inscription dedicated on behalf of Kanishka I to inaugurate his first regal year has been found in an Afghan temple. It also provides key evidence as to the fate of the Greek language within Central Asia and India. There is a decline in its overall quality when seen in any official presentation, particularly on coins.
