John and Patsy Ramsey Hired Lawyers Quickly
Former FBI agent Brad Garrett, who also wasn't actually involved in the case, told 2020 the same thing. Garrett's theory was that the Ramses had harmed John Beney, panicked and then made it look like she was kidnapped by writing the ransom note. Why else, he asked, would the note be written on Patsy's own stationary? Adding to everyone's growing suspicion of John and Patsy Ramsey was the fact that they hired lawyers pretty quick.
