The purpose of intersectionality as a doctrine is therefore to link the various forms of systemic oppression together into a kind of meta system of domination. To occupy two systematically oppressed positions in society is to endure something like four times the capacity for oppression, creating what's called quadratic law of multiplying oppressions. So within say feminism, which is interested in sex as a topic, race becomes a contradictory element. And so when you are trying to synthesize opposites through the dialectic, what you end up is creating a synthesis of those diametrically opposed.
