What I Liked About Byron Besides His Boundless Genius
Sir Walter Scott wrote in his journal, what I liked about Byron besides his boundless genius was his generosity of spirit as well as purse and his utter contempt of all affectations of literature from the school magisterial style to the lackadaisical Byron. On the other hand, was the gloomy hero a bit of an act? Maybe the humorous and teasing biron who so often comes through on the page was the real one in the brooding hero more of an effect.
