The Effects of Troponin on Superventricular Tetrachicardia
Troponin elevation is very common in SVT, including a third of adults and a quarter of children. A positive troponin test will result in increased length of stay for serial testing or waiting for inpatient telemetry beds. Patients may also be subjected to the risks of hospitalization, antiplatelet therapy, anti-coagulation, and coronary angiography.
