I'd Like to Be on a Maternity Leave
I saw the news about Nicholas Sturgeon resigning as they sat in a circle with other moms playing with colourful ribbons and probably maracas, singing nursery lines. I'm never used to having all sorts of politicians these days. Most people listen, we go, Oh my God, you know, 32. But the thought of putting yourself forward to lead a country at 32 feels like a daunting prospect. And I'd probably still quite like to be on maternity leave. That weekend after she resigned, I was sitting at home just extraordinarily torn about it all. It's almost like I had already declared.
