The Name Makes Air Quotes Academic Rigior and Scholarship
When my daughter was in grade school, we went to an open house at George Shanday School. The headmaster told us up front that while they care about academics, our top priority is social justice and you should know that. I have no problem with like hardcore Catholic schools doing that. Just be honest about what you're where you're going to break ties in conflicts. And let people make those decisions on their own. That's basically my view about these things in general.
