The GP Contract Changes
By the end of 2023, community pharmacies could offer prescription medication direct to patients. There's also a plan to increase capacity for blood pressure checks and to offer women access to oral contraception from pharmacies. Anything that says this system known as pharmacy first could save 10 million GP appointments a year if it goes ahead. And there are some other bits on self-care in the plan as well.
