The History of the Stasi
The Stasi was a German intelligence agency that spied on thousands of people in East Germany. In the 1970s and 80s, it targeted dissidents who were trying to challenge the socialist status quo there. The organization has been compared to like the FBI or NSA by some Westerners but they have their own differences. A new museum is open in Berlin where visitors can see old documents about the Stasi's activities.
