I'm not sure what that means anymore. Liberalism can be a very radical version of liberalism or it can be as it is in the European right today, a very conservative version. So I prefer to talk about liberal some things and to identify myself that way. Being a liberal Democrat means accepting the notion that a majority cannot do anything it wants to do. It's an adjectival qualification of another commitment.
