The Problem With Falsifying Theories

Kuhn said that it's not the case that we just falsified theories. Rather than falsify theory upfront on the first attempt, we just, you know, as you say, the theory resists falsification. In principle, there are definitely ways of trying to save one's theory from falsification by suggesting that there was some other error in our measurements. On this note, I would suppose that what we're coming up against is a pretty sad picture, one which is disappointing with respect to people who believe in science for ever more.
