The Opposite Direction of Interest Rates and Bond Prices
Bond prices and interest rates move in opposite directions, says Paul Tudor Jones. "I loan Tom Woods $100," he says of a 30-year bond that is now worth less than it was at the time they were first taken out. 'If I were to try to sell that loan to, let's say, a bank or somebody else, they would give me 40% less,' writes Jones.
