The Lighthouse in Machias Seal Island

One of my favourite light s is, i think, basi n unnecessary. The lighthouse in machias seal island - a tiny little island just between the us and canada. It's disputed because both countries wantemership of this tiny, uninhabited island. So it's been argued over since 18 32. And can Canada, to stake its own claim, for the last 25 years, has just kept a lighthouse keeper in a lighthouse on thereto, say, to stamp identity on the island.
