The Imperial German army captured a place called the Breyay Basin. It included massive quantities of iron ore and Germany didn't have a whole lot of iron in like its own borders. Without the iron there, they would not have been able to fight World War I more than about six months. The reason they don't shell it at all is Basil Zaharoff because "this is a bunch of money"
