The Spanish Invasion of the Americas
Columbus was formally removed from his position as governora. He was then arrested by anish emissaries and sent back to spain in chains. But after he arrived, king ferdinand pardoned him and allowed him to go on a fourth voyage. So although he had beenh been arrested and was briefly imprisoned, he was pardoned and made yet another voyage to the americans. This should put paid to the notion that you'll sometimes hear that, well, you know, we shouldn't judge columbus because he, he was normal by the standards of his time.
