The Financial Times tried to run Mastodon and then decided, 'f*** this noise after a while' I think there was a massive misunderstanding. They should have set up a Mastodon server for their reporters. But yeah, you'd expect that they would have researched it maybe a bit better - or maybe there wasn't the info for them.
