How to Demonize Your Parents and Caregivers
If you have demonized one of your parents or caregivers, that means you've unavoidably demonized parts of yourself. There are patterns you learned from them no matter what. And if you've demonized them overall, then your brain is going to react in the same way and you're going to be rejecting yourself just because you have some similarities to this person that your brain has conditioned itself to reject. As always, it is one self compassion, which too usually leads to more compassion for other people.
