The Story of Romeo and Juliet
Wishbone was trying to show that there were themes and ideas in these great books that could be translated into a kid's life. In other hands, it would have been, okay, we're going to do the totality of this book in the half hour. What I felt pressured to do was to get someone to fall in love with the idea of the book. The point is how the author has taken a set of events and made them mean something different than they've ever met before.
