I've been pushing more and more the idea of, and I think this has been to reduce grading. A lot of teachers give tons and tons of assignments that they give points to when there's a ton of grading and recording. The kids are learning the stuff, but in the classroom culture, they have to understand that all these practices are leading to that bigger grade. We want kids to internalize that same idea around practice for any skill.
