Are You Convinced You Want Less Children Than You Want?
I'm often taken aback by how few of my female students want children. So haven't we solved this problem by convincing people who convince themselves they want fewer children? We have seen a pretty sharp decline in fertility intentions or expectations over the last few years, over the last decade or so. But there has been no corresponding decline in fertility desires. It's not clear you can do that.
