The Importance of Distributed Renewables in Rural Communities
I went to your lecture in 2009 by Rajan DePritori, who was the head of the UN IPCC. He was also running an organization in India called the Energy and Resources Institute. And they had this big campaign called Lighting a Billion Lives which was about bringing small scale solar to rural communities in India. So I applied for a Fulbright with them with with Terry as sort of the sponsor and went to India and started working on distributed renewables. Now we're focused on bigger systems and more different types of power.
