Secondary Polycythemia Vera

Secondary polycythemia vera can be caused by congenital defects in oxygen sensing pathways. Acquired secondary causes include pulmonary disease, sleep apnea, cardiovascular causes like isome and Mungers syndrome. And then there are renal causes like renal artery stenosis, as well as history of renal transplant. One pearl is that for post renal transplant polycythemie, you should consider asinhibitors for those patients.
