Mass Production and Mass Consumption

The capitalist system realized that you needed to have consumers for what would now be produced after that was a sort of excess, just basically luxury goods. And so you had to have a consumer market for that. You get sort of the advent of this mass consumerism. And he goes on to advertising. And advertising creates needs that you never knew you had.
