The Cup Is Not the Cup, but It Refers to the Cup

An argument is not the thing itself. The argument is supposed to convey a conclusion or a thought or an idea to another person. And if I ask a question that seeks to kind of give you the same thought, then it's kind of like your objection is a bit like if I said kind of suitcase. But in their function and what the words refer to, they are actually the same thing as un vellis - which is French for suitcase.
