The Parable of the Weeds
Jesus is telling these things to his disciples inside of the house Away from the crowds. The net is very straightforward It's the same thing as the weeds And so in having the treasure and the pearl bookended there it's pretty straightforward Starting with the parable of the net, I think this is a good idea because we can help again reinforce the bookends there To kind of go back and try to frame it the way they would have heard it So on the front end you have just the practical reading like we went into how easy it is to use Which is why from the prophets all the way to the apocalyptic writers they would use agricultural metaphor to explain something God was saying.
