Do Cardio and Resistance Train in the Same Programme?

Most people who lift tend to like to lift in the afternoon, especially for heavy lower body training. If you can't separate them on multiple days, then being able to do them in separate workouts spaced out by at least four to six hours seems like the way to go. A lot ofd and i would venture to say most people who do a lot of cardio, tend to do that first thing in the morning, or pretty early in the morning.
