The Importance of Modeling in Poker

Numb: One strategy, but I guess it's very different for these AIs, is you play without Bluffing. You build up the belief in other players that this person is not going to bluff. They're always like, whenever they go in, they have the cards to back in. And then later you can start exploiting that a little bit,. of course, not too much because then it will backfire... Numb: The fact that you can get away with not modeling other players in poker does not mean that modeling other players is not important in general. We actually observe in diplomacy that modeling other player is really critical to success in that game.
