The Dog Needs to Go Out
The city man had all day at home to rest. And he went to bed that night sleeping on a cot in a spare room. He didn't want to share a bed with his wife, which has been so mean lately. That night there was a thud, a jangle, and a curse from the back of the house. The husband peeked out the window to see what the noise was about. And saw his wife in the light of a lantern scooping coins back into a chest. She did believe him. She just wanted all the gold for herself.
