The Fifth Amendment to Attorney Client Privilege

Mark Palmerance was an attorney for the government. Can't he assert attorney client privilege to decline to answer questions? He could, although he would basically be asserting attorney client privilege over something that he has previously disclosed in violation of attorney client privilege. Now it's not his privilege to waive. But yeah, he could still make that argument but he didn't and I think he thinks he's the Fifth Amendment argument is the stronger one.
