The Impressions of Jazz Music - A Journey With Drummer and Percussionist

I always find a special joy and a special connection when it comes to playing improvisation music specifically with drummers and percussionists. I'm humbled by the fact that really this is an album about collaboration but really that features these seven amazing musicians. Those seven musicians then through the narrative, not formed but through the narrative that has grown organically through the record, they shed light on a much bigger picture which is the story of my people. It was a bit of a mammoth kind of task because you're talking about, I think we had about 12 hours maybe of music and maybe 20 hours or something crazy like that worth of interviews and stuff distilled down into 70 something minutessomething,.
