The play what you hear is sort of that top level thing almost like a spiritual metaphysical kind of framework for living. It's like your framework for practicing for interacting with music in general. What differentiates jazz is that we have the freedom, you know, and the actual performance of recording situations to play what we hear. We're not told we don't just totally get up and like play what I hear And I'm feeling confused today and we go crazy.
