The Legacy of the One Child Policy
When you have an entire generation of only children, I think that does something for you. And it's very fragmented. None of these people have siblings. Their parents give way too much attention to them because traditionally you have bigger families and the sun is only one child to carry all the wishes and hopes of the family. So I think that exacerbates the dysfunction. There's no one to share the burden with.
