The Asophageal Aspiration Study

This studyd design, utilized cadavers to investigate the seal of seven different supoglotic airway devices. They looked at these devices in five unfixed human cadavers within 24 hours post mortem. The authors felt that this was because the elma created the protective seal over the trachea and prevented regurgitated sophageal contents from translating into any kind of clinical complications.
