How to Learn a Language Like Japanese
I've heard that Catalan is sort of like an intermediate between Spanish and French. Has certain elements of both, yeah, especially in the grammar. So being that you have all of this sort of experience with different languages, what has it been like? You've got to experience the Japanese, French, Italian, Spanish, and Catalan. That gives you a lot of metalinguistic awareness, a lot of background. And I imagine Thai and Mandarin feel more similar because the grammar and the tones.
