M. Scott Peck's book The Road Less Traveled was probably one of the best books on psychology that I think has ever been written. He actually ended up becoming an alcoholic, his success from being this great psychologist kind of drove him into all kinds of interesting and unhealthy behaviors. In Buddhist philosophy, one of the first ten of Buddhist philosophy is that life is suffering, that you're going to suffer. But the second ten is if you recognize that life sucks and you accept that life sucks, life doesn't suck as much because you just recognize, man, this is what's going to be in life. And by attachment, it means that you are placing your happiness on things which are outside
