How Did You Find the Japanese Lessons?

I know a lot of people, they really like anime. And through their love of anime, that kind of blossoms into an interest in Japanese in Japan. But for me, it was more just the anime happened to be the first place that I heard Japanese. And for whatever reason, the language itself just really pulled me in. So by the time I was a sophomore, I was taking the third year level Japanese classes. Then that summer I went to Japan for three weeks through this kind of trip on my school after my second full year of taking Japanese at high school.
