Having a Cloud Provider Is a Good Idea
Tyson: It just didn't make sense for us to alocate all those resources towards hosting our own cloud when someone else could do it faster, better and more cheaply. Out sorcing our cloud interstructure meant that a lot of people's jobs, including amils, were about to drastically change - hopefully for the better. "Our most precious engineering resource, our people, would be better invested elsewhere," Tyson says.
