Colonel Fitzwilliam intercepted her ramble and let slip that Darcy had mentioned his involvement in Bingley's sudden change of heart towards Jane. And so, here we pick up the story, finding Elizabeth in her room at the Passenage, rummaging through all her previous letters from Jane.
