Drug Abuse Isn't Just a Function of Poverty

Poverty has fallen over the last decade, thanks in a large part to cameron's welfare reforms. But drug abuse hasn't been getting worse - why do you think that is? It can sometimes be glibly assumed that drug abuse is simply a function of poverty. The reason people get involved in drugs is something quite different. I alwas really struck and moved by the the charity workers i met up there in lofborough who are helping some incredibly hard to reach people. And tis step in the right direction, to focus more on helping people who want to be helped than fightinga failing war on druk fris.
