Socrates's Definition of Love
Love is being overcome by a particular sort of desire that's directed at beauty, especially quote unquote personal beauty. Socrates in his long second speech talks about that of all the forms that are out there like truth, justice, and so on it's beauty or goodness. It turns out that beauty is the one that's most palpable in the world that we live in. And that's why it moves us more because it's of the same realm.
