Ireland is the British sixth biggest export market in the world. The UK sells us about 18 billion more than we buy from them, writes John Defterios. Ireland's income per capita has grown by 192% since 1995 to €40,655 a year. This compares with £21,716 per person in 1995 and £30,594 today. So what the Brexiteers don't understand is that Ireland is a much richer country,. And richer countries can actually deal with shocks better., he says.
