In a Chinese community, the numbers two and four were the big no-no numbers. Two sounds like easy and number four sounds like death. So it started getting into everyone's head to the point where I was teaching. You could count on the mailman coming at exactly the same time because you could hear his cursing. But if it was too eight, it would be easy prosperity.
