The Role of Fraud in Streaming Fraud
Ashley: Who's behind all of these different types of fraud? It's tough to say. I spoke with the co-founders of a company called Beat Dap, which specializes in fraud detection on like streaming services and for labels. They say the vast majority of the fraud that they detect is financially motivated. Ashley says it's still hard to put an exact figure on how widespread streaming fraud is but it's clearly sucking money out of the royalty pool.
