The Weather Forecast for 2023

Peter Stott at the Metalfish Centre for Climate Prediction says we'll have a record warm year in 2023. Increasing temperatures are meaning that we're seeing greater frequency of heat waves, floods and droughts around the world. We can see what might seem like a gradual rise in global temperatures is actually having a very dramatic effect on our weather. And so we're basically expecting to see this every single year from now on to see different, more intense heat waves,. More intense rainfall events than we've seen in the past as a result of climate change.
