The race row that is threatening to overshadow this year's Oscars. All 20 acting nominees are white and anger was visible online with the twitter hashtag oscarsowhite. For the second year in a row backlash over who was not nominated it's actually worse than last year tweeted april rain creator of the viral hashtag OSCARSOWHITE. The academy they were quite swift to react to us they reaching their membership and if i just 300 new members four new members would have been made. There's a huge wider endemic problem in the industry with diversity lack of representation lack of female film directors the oscarso white campaign seems to reflect something that had gone beyond just a representation
